Match report The second team were looking to go into unprecedented territory at Eight Ash Green with a possible third win on the bounce, however, ultimately rain was deny to them. The Green batted first and posted a more than useful 224 for 7, with Richard Polley (50) top scoring. Amit Tiwari (3 for 52) was the most successful Mersea bowler, while there was a good spell from Connor Green (1 for 36 from 9).
In reply, Mersea openers Mick Laver and Rory Green (46no) put on 76 without loss in fifteen overs before the rain arrived to end the game.
