Raise a Glass for Snowy

01 Jan 2018

The club are sad to report the unexpected passing of the gregarious Michael Snow on New Years Eve. Michael originally started playing for the club in 1997, making occasional appearances when he visited his mother, who lives on the island. In the last few years he made more appearances, often trekking down from Leicester on the day of the game.  In all he made 46 appearances for the club, with a best performance being a bowling spell of 6 for 38 against Boxted in 2016. He also toured with the club in 2016, introducing the boy scout motto to most of the touring party by always 'being prepared' - the 'Fridge' that he took on tour carried more supplies than most could comprehend.

He will be remembered as a sociable person, who mixed with all ages in the club and was well liked. Our thoughts are with his immediate family at this sad time.

RIP Michael Snow 1960 - 2017
