West Mersea Cricket Club Lost by 121 runs

Match report West Mersea's unbeaten start in Division Four of the NECL was soundly destroyed by a rampant Copford at The Glebe. Copford batted first and clocked up a massive 260 for 1 from their 40 overs, skipper Ian Catley (104no) scoring his second NECL century of the season, and Toby Simpson (144) putting on 254 for the opening wicket. Mersea were never in the run chase, with only Jon O’Regan (33) passing twenty in their total of 139 for 9, in reply.
