Match report The first team scored their first victory in four attempts at Felixstowe & Corinthians on 9th July. Ten man Mersea batted first and most of the batting order reached double figures, without anyone going on to post more than thirty. David Taylor (26), Dan Lambert (24) and Luke Conway (20) were the top scorers, in the Mersea total of 158. Mark Smith (6 for 66) was the best bowler for the home side. In reply, Darren Rumble (2 for 19) made early inroads, but the game changing spell came from Matt Wilkin (5 for 33) as the hosts were bowled out for 110. Debutant Harry Ryman (2 for 38) also claimed a brace.
