Match report The first eleven entertained East Bergholt seconds on the 16th June, looking to make it three wins on the bounce. Batting first Mersea progressed steadily to 82 for 3 in the first twenty overs, with David Taylor and Luke Conway (26) enjoying a third wicket stand of 41. However, Conway's dismissal then saw the visitors take the ascendancy, and despite a half century from Taylor (54), the Mersea innings was cut short in the 40th over, for 133. Only Elliott Drage (10) in the latter part of the order was able to give Taylor any support. In reply, Mersea made a promising start with a wicket without a run on the board, however, after that progress was steady and the visitors eased to a six wicket victory in the 29th over. Luke Conway (4 for 57) and Tom Sanderson (2 for 23) were the Mersea wicket takers.
