Match report On the second pitch, the seconds were defeated by Eight Ash Green 2nd string. After winning the toss ten man Mersea batted first and struggled against the bowling of Calum McDonald (4 for 25) and Ed Lambert-Clarke (3 for 22) as they were bowled out for 67. Roger Goodwin, stood first for over an hour for an unbeaten 28, to top score. In reply, Goodwin again claimed the plaudits with the ball taking the three wickets to fall on his way to figures of 3 for 26. Patrick Ekka on debut, gave a good account of himself with the ball, and Daniel Miller bowled a tidy spell, but the target was too small to cause the visitors any real problems, and they reached it in the 16th over.
