Match report Wild celebrations at Mersea as the second eleven won their first game in twenty outings over Maldon fourths. Mersea batted first and made 182 for 3, with Peter Phillips (60no) dropping anchor once again. Matt White (28) and a welcome return from Adam Passfield (43) added the impetus to the innings. In reply Maldon were always behind the run rate, largely through tight bowling from Amit Tiwari (1 for 48 from 15) and Phillips (1 for 25 from 13). Passfield claimed 3 for 15 in the latter stages of the Maldon reply as they were restricted to 150 for 7.
