West Mersea Cricket Club Won by 73 runs

Match report Mersea continued to put pressure on the top two in the Two Counties Division Six, with a 73 run victory over Worlington 2nd XI on June 27th. Adam Rutter continued his excellent season by becoming the first Mersea player to reach 500 runs, posting a top score of 64 in the innings. Jon O’Regan (51) also posted a half century, and with useful cameos from Luke Conway (31) and Matt Wilkin (22), Mersea reached 206. Worlington never really challenged the Mersea total, with Cam Williams taking his first five wicket haul, with a career best 5 for 26. Matt Wilkin also weighed in with two wickets as the visitors were bowled out for 133.
