Match report The Two Counties second eleven were put to the sword at Witham, against their thirds. Witham batted first and recorded a massive 383 for 4 from their 40 overs, with P Streetly hitting an unbeaten 208. Amit Tiwari bowled valiantly to return 1 for 74 from his 13 overs, but with a number of the Mersea bowlers suffering from the heavy onslaught there was not much else to write home about. In reply, Nick Gray (50no) gave a good account as Mersea got to 133 in their 40 overs.
