West Mersea Cricket Club Won by 201 runs

Match report On Saturday 21st the Two Counties first eleven put in their best performance of the season with a 201 run victory over Sudbury thirds. Mersea batted first and were on the front foot straight away, with Adam Rutter (50) and David Taylor putting on 106 for the first wicket in 17 overs. Luke Bruce (52) joined Taylor in a second wicket stand of 108, and with eleven overs to go Mersea were handily placed at 214 for 2. Taylor went through to his second century of the season, scoring a career best 124, and with some late order runs from Matt White (28) Mersea closed at a formidable 327 for 6. In reply, Sudbury were never in the game as all the bowlers claimed a wicket with Luke Conway (3 for 8) and Luke Bruce (2 for 0) the most successful as they were bowled out for 126.
Fourth highest score by the Two Counties 1st XI.
