Match report The TC 1st XI recovered from losing Nick Gray first ball of the innings to post a respectable 181 for 9 from their 45 overs, against Felixstowe & Corinithians 2nds. James Rutter (45) played a solid knock, while there were useful partnerships with Luke Conway (15), Gareth Mason (a career best 20) and a fine 35 ball 47 from Matt Wilkin, which saw him reach 2000 runs for the club.
Darren Rumbe (2 for 60) and Matt Wilkin (1 for 29) then put Mersea into the ascendancy as the home side wilted to 39 for 3. Thomas Boyt and Alexander MacLeod then post 60 each as the game went back in favour of Felixstowe. Luke Conway ( 3 for 38) and Ben Rumble (2 for 56) each claimed one of the half centurions, but were unable to make any further inroads as Felixstowe won by 2 wickets in the 42nd over.
