Match report The opening match of the 2016 tour saw a shambolic performance by Mersea at Sandwich Town. The side were the worse for wear from an early morning assault on various tinnies, and it showed when batting first they were skittled for 84 in 21 overs. Only Adam Rutter (25) showed any application, in an innings that also three ducks. Smith (5 for 30) was the most successful of the Kent bowlers. Sandwich took little time in putting Mersea out of their misery racing to a nine wicket success in 59 balls. Chris Graham took the only wicket to fall with a caught and bowled.
