Match report The return friendly at The Glebe with St Martins, saw Mersea win by 28 runs. Luke Conway and James Rutter at the top of the order both got to retirement, before Jesse Elson hit a career best 12. Charley Garwood coming in at six hit a rapid 27 from 14 balls to keep the momentum going. With Mat the bat Williamson hitting a career best 14 not out, at the end of the innings, Mersea got to 140 for 4.
Mersea were always in control of the reply with a good fielding and bowling performance restricting St Martins to 112 for 5. James Rutter was the pick of the bowlers with 2 for 8, while Seb Gladwell and Jesse Elson both effected run outs.
