Match report Cavaliers were the visitors on the 8th June in the Evening League, and gave Mersea a harsh lesson in 15 over cricket. Mersea were bowled out in 14 overs, with Rory Green (20 from 14 balls) at the top of the order, giving the islanders a rapid start. However, with only Corin Haines (27), Ricky Provan (15) and Luke Conway (11) reaching double figures they were bowled out for 111.
An opening stand of 95 between Adnan Ali (61) and Badar Munir effectively won the game for Cavaliers. Ben Rumble picked up two wickets (2 for 22), but with Munir undefeated on 39 the visitors won the game by 8 wickets at the start of the tenth over.
