West Mersea Cricket Club Lost by 29 runs

Match report The seconds entertained Kelvedon & Feering for their first home match of the season. Ben Rumble won the toss and elected to insert the visitors, Dan Miller (0 for 16 from 8) bowling tidily at the start of the innings ensured that Kelevedon were kept quiet. Amit Tiwari (2 for 34), Chris Warren (1 for 37 - his 50th wicket for the club, Rumble (3 for 40) and 2nd XI debutant Juwan Malindu (1 for 8) managed to restrict the visitors to 144 for 7.
However, after a reasonable start, Mersea lost three quick wickets to put them on the backfoot at 28 for 3. Jon Snelling (24) and Juwan Malindu put on 47 for the fourth wicket but Mersea were slipping behind the required rate. Malindu eventually got to 46 not out as Mersea clsoed on 115 for 5, and defeat by 29 runs.
