Huge congratulations to the Mersea Mermaids who after winning their Softball qualifying group against Colchester & E.E., Eight Ash Green and Chappel & Wakes Colne over the last month, qualified for Finals Day at the Chelmsford County Ground today.
Beating both Galleywood and High Roding in their semi final group this morning, meant they topped the table and went through to the championship match against Walthamstow. Unfortunately, they came up just short, but second out of 22 teams in the county is a superb achievement in their first season.
